ATLANTA, GA - Georgia State earned one of the biggest wins in program history Tuesday afternoon, defeating No. 2 Georgia Tech, 9-4, at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium.
The victory improves the Panthers to 7-2 on the season and ties the highest-ranked win for any Georgia State team in any sport.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first inning on a two-run home run, Georgia State responded in a major way in the fifth. Adam Haber led off the inning with a double and Wills Maginnis was hit by a pitch before Hunter Carlson tied the game with a two-RBI single.
