The New York Knicks are hiring Craig Robinson, the brother-in-law of former President Barack Obama, for a front-office role, league sources confirmed to ESPN.

Robinson is not expected to serve as general manager for the Knicks' G League team. That role is expected to continue to be filled by Allan Houston, sources said.

The Vertical first reported Robinson's hiring.

Robinson was the head coach at Oregon State from 2008 to 2014, going 94-105 overall while failing to make an NCAA tournament appearance. Prior to joining the Beavers, he coached at Brown for two seasons.
