The biggest mess to untangle this season has been the ‘expectation vs. reality’ gap.
The problem is that it’s completely subjective. Wade’s preseason sale was amazing. Coming off a season where we didn’t even make the ACC Tournament, we land the guy everyone wants, and he comes in and says the things the fanbase wants to hear.
My argument all season has been “What did you want him to do?”
This isn’t 2015. You need NIL money to compete, and the well was dry with NC State basketball.
