Last night's play-in game victory over North Carolina State was exactly what Texas fans needed after an up-and-down season in 2025/2026. The game-winning shot by Tramon Mark was almost erased when a Longhorns assistant coach, Ryan Anderson, ran onto the court before the game clock ran out, though.
Usually, this would result in a technical foul, wiping away Mark's basket. For some odd but incredibly relieving reason, the ref standing right in front of Anderson when he ran onto the court didn't call the foul. Whether he realized that there wasn't enough time on the clock for NC State to do anything anyway if he did call it, or he was just caught off-guard, nothing happened.
