Toronto Maple Leafs: Missing Connor Carrick

Connor Carrick was hit in open-ice by the Jets’ Mathieu Perreault, and hasn’t played since. He has only two goals and seven points in 55 games, but Carrick has been greatly missed since he went down.

Carrick has been routinely partnered with Jake Gardiner this season. Together they have combined for a 54.5 CF%. To put this in it’s proper perspective, consider that only 12 defenseman who have played 500+ minutes have a CF% over 54.5%. Gardiner and Carrick have played over 600 minutes together.

When Carrick and Gardiner are on the ice, the Leafs score more goals than they allow.
