Shockers Run-Rule Bears

WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State scored 14 unanswered runs and rode a strong start from to a 14-1 victory over Northern Colorado on Saturday evening at Eck Stadium.

The game was halted after the top of the seventh inning due to the ten-rule rule.

For the second straight game, Northern Colorado (0-2) struck in the top of the first inning, this time courtesy of a two-out, run-scoring single from Logan Pruski that staked the Bears to a 1-0 lead. It was all Shockers from that point on, however, as Wichita State (2-0) poured in three runs in the third, six in the fourth and five more in the fifth.
